Angelumni exits to help US-based alumni and friends of international universities connect with each other and make syndicated investments into high-impact startup ventures.
Angelumni is managed by Strategic Piece, a business consultancy based in Houston, Texas, that was co-founded by Matt and Melanie Bell, alumni of Imperial College London and McGill University.
Matt Bell
Matt graduated from Imperial College London in 1994 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
His career took him from a major energy company into corporate venture capital and on to startup company leadership. After three c-suite roles at early-stage ventures and one successful exit, he co-founded Strategic Piece to focus on go-to-market and growth strategies for B2B businesses.
He and Melanie have been active angel investors and venture fund LPs since 2018, and Matt has served on the board of the Houston Angel Network.
Melanie Bell
Melanie graduated from McGill University in 2007 with a degree in International Development. She later completed her MBA at Rice University.
Her marketing career included positions at a large industrial corporation, a software startup, and a cleantech accelerator.
In 2014, she founded Marketing Interface to work with growth-stage companies, prior to merging it with Matt’s consulting practice to create Strategic Piece.
